Wood Pellet Shortage
Here in the northeast, this long, unseasonably cold winter has really put a strain on the area's supply of wood pellet fuel. Most households find themselves needing an additional ton or two of wood pellets just to finish out the season. What we have seen in the last thirty days is that a majority of the 140,000 homeowners who burn pellets have all gone out and bought up an additional ton or two. When this kind of mass-consumption occurs on an acute level such as we have seen here, the remaining inventory across the state as well as the entire northeast gets sucked up and a "pellet-vacuum" is immediately created. Here at CT Pellet, we are not immune to the pellet shortage, and consequently, have implemented a policy that we are currently able to sell to our existing customers exclusively. As much as we would love to be able to help everyone across the state, we feel a responsibility to take care of those who have shown us loyalty over the years. While some people have expressed their frustrations to us as a result of our decision, most people have been very understanding. It is our sincere hope that the present constraints on the wood pellet supply will ease up in the coming weeks. We wish you all warmth and comfort.

WOOD PELLETS - A Green Energy Solution
Wood pellets are an affordable, local and environmentally-friendly way to heat your home. Wood fuels release lesser amount of ashes and emissions that are harmful to the environment and to human beings. In addition, the carbon dioxide that is released during the combustion of wood pellets is being used by the growing plants. It’s no wonder that this renewable, economical and sustainable fuel source has been gaining so much interest all over the world.
